To start using PS font embeddind:
  - copy pstops-wrapper file to your cups filter's directory
  - change -sPAPERSIZE=a4 to whatever paper size you need 
  - edit /etc/cups/mime.convs:
     copy and comment out the line
      application/postscript  application/vnd.cups-postscript 66 pstops
     edit copy of the line:
      application/postscript  application/vnd.cups-postscript 66 pstops-wrapper
  - add following lines to your printer's ppd file:
     *OpenUI *EmbedFonts/Embed all fonts: Boolean
     *OrderDependency: 21 DocumentSetup *EmbedFonts
     *DefaultEmbedFonts: False
     *EmbedFonts True/On:  ""
     *EmbedFonts False/Off: ""
     *CloseUI: *EmbedFonts
  - restart cups daemon

Notes:
------
 - Reading papersize option from PPD or from the command line is not
   supported yet
 - default value for EmbedFonts PPD options has no effect in this script
   use CUPS_EMBEDFONTS shell variable instead. It also works with
   non-modified PPD's
