xymon-client-core package
=========================

This package contains the utilities and configuration files needed to 
communicate back to the Xymon server, without any sort of service 
daemon. It is intended for installation on systems where, for policy or 
other reasons, you cannot install the xymonlaunch daemon, but have 
scripts that you would like to communicate back to a Xymon server.


The only binaries it contains are the xymon and xymoncmd commands, and
legacy symlinks.

Important configuration files are:
  /etc/sysconfig/xymon-client
  /etc/xymon-client/hobbitclient.cfg

Typically, all you'll need to do is set the XYMONSERVERS variable in
/etc/sysconfig/xymon-client

If at any point later you want to install the full client, you can 
upgrade directly to it by issuing rpm -U xymon-client
